The accumulation of fats in the liver is called fatty liver diseases. The liver functions in digestion, energy storing, blood sugar and cholesterol regulator, toxin filter and fighting diseases.

Generally fats are in the liver, however when the percentage goes between 6-10 percent, such liver is termed fatty liver.

Apple Cider Vinegar

One of the most homemade remedy for fatty liver is Apple Cider Vinegar. It removes fatty substances both in and out of the liver. It also reduces liver inflammation.

Glass of warm water


Add 1 tablespoon of raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar to a glass of warm water.

.           Take twice daily, before your meals.

              Continue this remedy for 2-3 months

            Follow this remedy for a few months.


It is advisable to dilute Apple cider vinegar because it is acidic. Start with a small volume (1 teaspoon) of apple cider vinegar. This can then be increased to 2 tables and then increase it to 2 tablespoons gradually


Lemon is rich in Vitamin C, which is an antioxidant that helps the liver to produce glutathione. This neutralizes toxins thereby making lemon good in detoxification of the liver. Lemons are also rich in flavonids which helps in stimulating bile, thus help in digestion.

Eriocitrin, which is the major flavonoid of lemon,  have a lipid lowering effect on total cholesterol. Lemon is alkalizing for the body. This helps it to flush out harmful acids.





Squeeze the juice of ½ lemon in a glass of water.

Take  2 – 3 times a day for several weeks, especially first thing in the morning.
